Orange Kellin's New Orleans Blue Serenaders featuring Vernel Bagneris

Friday, September 16, 2005 - 7:30 pm

  New Orleans Blue Serenaders

Bringing talent fresh from Broadway, these seasoned performers will thrill listeners with sounds of the Big-Easy, New Orleans. From the Broadway production of One Mo' Time, music arranger and clarinetist Orange Kellin brings a trio of hot New Orleans musicians – piano, clarinet and percussion – to play the elegant, thrilling and undeniably infectious Big Easy sounds. Joining Orange and his trio is the creator and director of One Mo' Time, the legendary song-and-dance man Vernel Bagneris, acting, singing and dancing the irresistible, dazzling, show-stopping numbers from that show plus many more. In film, Vernal Bagneris had a starring role in Herbert Ross' Pennies from Heaven with Steve Martin and Bernadette Peters. Recently, Vernel served as choreographer and played the role of Dancin' Al in the Oscar-winning film biography of Ray Charles. (Artist Represented by: Art Fegan Entertainment, Inc.)

All proceeds will be used to provide student scholarships for Hurricane Katrina victims.
